He wrote many unforgettable songs, which have had an international success and which have been interpreted by beloved singers such as Lucio Battisti. Mogol, pseudonym of Giulio Rapetti, Italian author, producer and writer, together with maestro Barbera will open the calendar of the Summer events at Palmanova Outlet Village on Saturday 18th May, at 6:30 p.m., with the new format called “Musica e Parole”.
The new format will allow the audience to know Italian music through historic and contemporary authors. In an intimate and welcoming context, the artists will perform their most famous songs, alternating it with anecdotes of everyday life. Every appointment will last approximately 60 minutes and the artists will be interviewed by the radio speaker Loredan Forleo. A unique event, which will allow the audience to know the man, before the artist. Media partner of the event is Radio Company. On this occasion, Palmanova Outlet Village will be open until 9 p.m. Free entry.
Mogol began his career as an author in 1961 and won the Sanremo Festival with the song “Al di Là”, written with the composer Carlo Donida and interpreted by Luciano Tajoli and Betty Curtis. In 1965 started collaborating with Lucio Battisti, considered one of the most important artists in ‘70s and ‘80s. Mogol founded also the Formula Uno, an Italian record label which was able to compete with the multinational labels for the number of sales. Besides the collaboration with Lucio Battisti, Mogol wrote songs also for Mina, Celentano, Bobby Solo, Riccardo Cocciante, Lucio Dalla, Ornella Vanoni and Tony Renis, just to mention someone.
