Marina Battistellalives in Bagnaria Arsa. She attended the Art Institute “Sello” in Udine, where she had two respected masters: Mario Baldan and Nane Zavagno. Her debut was inspired mainly by impressionism, arriving then at hyperrealism. Curiosity and interest for material aspects brought Battistella to a constant research, till she reached a personal expressive figure, characterized by a balanced combination between space reasons and materic reasons, in a well-recognizable chromatic structure. Always open-minded to the discussion with the colleagues and the contemporary artistic movements, Marina Battistella still remains loyal to her ideals preferring materials, color consistency and the balanced structuring of the pictorial space. The artist presented her art works in several exhibitions, in Italy and abroad. Among the most recent ones, some in Slovenia, Croatia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Austria and Belgium.
Nello Taverna, artist from San Giorgio di Nogaro, started his activity since he was very young and began to exhibit at the end of the ‘60s. Eminent critics in journals, magazines, art catalogues, TV broadcasts were interested in his works. He exhibited in Italy and abroad, in galleries, museums and in private and public exhibition halls. He is present in several catalogues by Mondadori, de Agostini and other publishing houses. His art works are well-known internationally. After leaving the Mannerism painting, in the ‘80s he merged into an experimentation of different forms and materials such as: earth, sand, salt, wax, ash and ceramic. Towards the end of the ‘80s, his work concentrated on research of energy and the harmony of the movements of water, sand and wind. In the same period he began a collaboration with some important Italian galleries and the diffusion of his art works in the affiches world with “Arts, graphics, memories”. In 1998, the meeting in Tuscany with the gallerist Tiziano Forni from Bologna signed a succesful professional partnership, thanks to which he was able to exhibit in many Italian cities.
Roberto Milan was born in Udine, where he lives and works. His passion for art stems in the familiy sculptor workshop, founded in 1928, where still today he express his creativity. Since he was very young he observed the strength and the potentialiy of the gouge and of the chisel, expressed in the material, that he grew in the Art Institute in Udine, trained by Basaldella, Lucatello, Mucchiut, Caucigh and Grimaldi. Since ever he has studied and deepened the most ancient and secret techniques: pigments, earths, coatings, polychromes, wood gold platings that he matches to the modernity of shapes and to the conceptual of the contemporary sculptures, connecting a natural talent to a fervid creativity.
The sculptures, which are unique pieces, recall ancentral eras, existencial themes, always very current, plays of opposites, of strengths, of different materails among which wood, precious Murano glasses, bronzes, steels melt together with each other and talk about free shapes in the space, about potentiality, earth and fire, essences, cosmic energies, through a formal elegance and an essential linearity. Art works by Milan can be found in several art collections in Italy. Abroad his works can be found in Canada, United States and Congo. Roberto Milan exhibited his works in Sofa Chicago 2013, Miami International Art Fair 2011, Etra Fall Group Show 2010, Miami International Fair 2010, Art Basel Show 2009, Etra Fall Group Show 2009, Art Basel Show 2008.
